Trim Levels
Included in the current lineup is the two-door Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon. These come with four-doors as well, along with the Sahara and limited edition Moab. Engine
The Jeep Wrangler runs on a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. It uses start-stop technology to preserve fuel when idle, plus a six-speed manual transmission to ensure smooth shifting. These components allow the V-6 to produce 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and eight-speed automatic transmission are optional on all trims and standard on the Moab. This combo allows for an output of 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
This vehicle is designed to handle anything you throw at it. It does so with the help of all-season tires, electronic stability control, and skid plate protection for the fuel tank and transfer case. It also comes standard in two-wheel drive, but can be configured for four-wheel drive. Plus, it features front and rear tow hooks that let you haul up to 3,500 pounds.
The Rubicon adds a few extras to the list, including off-road tires, a performance suspension, and third-generation Dana 44 HD wide front and rear axles for consistently smooth sailing over tough trails. The Sahara and Moab further show off a heavy-duty suspension and gas shock absorbers. You'll have a choice of different four-wheel-drive systems, too. They give you the tools to handle mud, rocks, snow, and other terrains with ease, which comes in handy for outdoor adventures.
Interior
This SUV is always ready for a road trip. In fact, it treats you to low-back cloth bucket seats, a full-length floor console with illuminated cup holders, and cargo tie-down loops. It also seats up to five passengers and lets you indulge in the latest multimedia features available. These include a Uconnect infotainment hub with 5-inch touch screen, voice-activated Bluetooth, and an eight-speaker audio system.
All of these accessories are part of the standard Wrangler package.
