Trim Levels
Jeep offers the 2019 Grand Cherokee in seven different trim levels. These start with the Laredo with its 17-inch wheels and the Limited, which builds on the Laredo with 18-inch wheels and a power liftgate. The Trailhawk is the next in the lineup with off-road tires for the 18-inch wheels and electronic rear differential. The Trailhawk also sits up higher and adds underbody skid plates, or you can get the Overland which has similar equipment without the off-road upgrades. The Summit is the most luxurious trim and comes with polished 20-inch wheels and extra noise-reducing glass on the windows, along with some tech upgrades. The SRT bumps things up with performance tires on the 20-inch wheels, and it adds a sport body kit and a sport-tuned suspension. The Trackhawk adds Brembo brakes and a more aggressive exterior style to the SRT.
Engine
The entry-level Grand Cherokee comes with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. If you step up to the Limited, you get the option for a 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel that makes 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque or a 5.7-liter V-8 that creates 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The SRT bumps up the power again with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that generates 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, and the Trackhawk has an even larger 6.2-liter V-8 with 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
Performance

Safety Features
A rearview camera is a standard safety feature in all the Grand Cherokee models, along with a blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Jeep makes additional safety equipment available as options so you can add lane departure warning, rain-sensing windshield wipers, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high beams. A parallel and perpendicular parking assist system is also available and you can add adaptive headlights.
